It was the day before my birthday in Columbus, Ohio when I took my roll of Kodachrome for a night out on the town. I drove around the city hunting for a flash of color in a landscape otherwise choked in midwestern winter gray. As the sun set, I realized that growing up with this often dull pallette of colors has given me appreciation for the most sublte hint of brilliance.

Wow-the Kodachrome/exposure captured that night scene very well!

I am surprised how well the low lighting shots came out – and this makes me excited to get back to Ohio and drive that LUV around!

angela these are so lovely. the most beautiful so far i’ve seen. they really capture the essence of a place, in a season, in daylight and darkness..love the cracked car seat …the neon signs. even the statue seems imbued with a palpable empathy, humanity_the abruptly juxtaposing, extremely intimate and new angles you take to normal things, in the normalness of the Midwest…you’ve effectively invoked Ohio…(i miss you so & owe you a call)
